Spring

I think that alot of people are getting spring fever. I know I am. I went to Lowes on Saturday and bought a plant starter tray thingy and some seeds. I then took them over to my neighbors house and had my special helpers help me plant. They have been asking for about two weeks if they could help me plant yet. Unfortunatley I forgot my camera. Anyway yesterday (Wednesday) I went to check the plants to see if they needed more water and I was pleasantly surprised.

You can't really see it in this picture so I took a close up.

If you really think about it, it is alot cheaper and ALOT more fun to watch your own plants grow. Really it's not that much work either.

Barbies....

So bear with me here...I got this e-mail and thought it was down right hilarious. So I thought I would share in a different way. Mind you that this was not my work but someone else's and if I knew who did it I would give credit where credit is due..

Mattel recently announced the release of limited-edition Barbie Dolls for the Greater Salt Lake market:

Winter

I feel that I need to share some of the wonders of winter at my house. We have been watching the icicles build up for a while. I went out barefoot, to take some pictures of them. It is a good thing that I did because two hours later they fell. So sad...we were all hoping they would make a total ice column.

24

Go Jack Bauer. That is all for now.

Snowboarding

So today My boss let me off to go snowboarding. I was so excited and left work A.S.A.P. I did not want Coby to change his mind. So Jared, Paul, Amber, Nate and I went up to Sundance. When we got there we were too early to buy lift tickets, so we went to the bunny slope. (Apparently you can ski/snowboard for free there?) I had a few quick lessons on stopping and turning which never really took root. And off the the ski lifts we went. The picture below here is that of a snowboarder.

Did I mention that it is a picture of a good snowboarder? Well that does not resemble me at all. The next to are classic examples of what I did the Majority of the day.

Needless to say I eventually started sledding down the hill. Now that, I can do! I have had much practice on Heber's Hill and The Gum Hill.

If you don't know how to ski/snowboard here's a hint of two things you can do.
1. Take lessons. If that is too expensive see #2.
2. Stay on the bunny slopes......THEY ARE FREE and you can learn there. Usually there are instructors helping someone else....FREE tips!

Bottom line...I had lots of fun and I think I prefer the regular old skiing.

P.S. My butt hurts and I have bruises...those pictures won't be posted due to graphic content.

Life as we know it.

So it has been a quite couple of weeks. We went out with our friends Marna and Erik Sewell, for her Birthday last Friday. We went to Olive Garden and to The Haunted Forest. Well let's just say some of us can't hold our liquid. You might take this to think that there was urine involved in this story but sadly that is not true. As we were waiting for our food at the resturant, Jared knocked over his drink and barley missed the birthday girl. The waiter happened to witness this incident and promptly brought Jared a new drink. Notice the cup.

The wheels on the van goes round and round....

Fifty-four hours and seven states later, we are finally home. For the trip to Michigan we rented a van. And drove for what seemed like an eternity. Here are a few pics from the driving parts of out trip!!!!

Here is my favorite picture of them all. Bug-gut splattered windshield, with a beautiful sunset beyond.

Yate's Cider Mill

Saturday, before conference, some of us went to Yate's Cider Mill to get some fresh pressed cider and fresh donuts. The cider was delicious. Sorry it has to be refrigerated so I was unable to bring any home. Not to mention that we really didn't have much room in the car.

Adam, Kim, me, Leah, and Karl.

Some of the gang watching the apples be pressed.

Smoothing out of the Apple slush.

Layers of the apple slush in canvas type bags.

Ready, Set, Press! 50 tons of pressure pushing out all that juice.

Jesse and Jen's Wedding

So this last week Jared and I had the oppurtunity to go to Michigan for his older brothers wedding. It was a lot of fun! Here are some pictures of the day!

Jen was so nice to Jesse!

My father-in-law, Karl, preformed the marriage. Here Jesse and Karl are watching Jen walk down the isle.
