Barbies....

So bear with me here...I got this e-mail and thought it was down right hilarious. So I thought I would share in a different way. Mind you that this was not my work but someone else's and if I knew who did it I would give credit where credit is due..

Mattel recently announced the release of limited-edition Barbie Dolls for the Greater Salt Lake market:

" Magna Barbie"
This tobacco-chewing, brassy-haired Barbie has a pair of her own high-heeled sandals with one broken heel from the time she chased beer-gutted Ken out of Rose Park Barbie's house. Her ensemble includes low-rise acid-washed jeans, fake fingernails, and a see-through halter-top. Also available with a mobile home.
"Provo Barbie"
She's perfect in every way. We don't know where Ken is because he's always at church meetings.
" Rose Park Barbie"
This Barbie now comes with a stroller and 2 infant dolls. Optional accessories include a GED and bus pass. White boy Gangsta Ken and his 1979 Caddy were available, but are now very difficult to find since the addition of the infant. " West Valley Barbie"
This pale model comes dressed in her own Wrangler jeans two sizes too small, a NASCAR t-shirt and tweety bird tattoo on her shoulder. She has a six-pack of Bud light and a Hank Williams Jr. CD set She can spit over 5 feet and kick mullet-haired Ken's butt when she is drunk. Purchase her pickup truck separately and get a confederate flag bumper sticker absolutely free.
" The Avenues Barbie"
This doll is made of actual tofu. She has long straight brown hair, arch-less feet, hairy armpits, no makeup and Birkenstocks with white socks. She prefers that you call her Willow. She does not want or need a Ken doll, but if you purchase two Avenues Barbies and the optional Subaru wagon, you get a rainbow flag bumper sticker for free.
"Draper Barbie"
The modern day homemaker Barbie is available with Ford Wind star Minivan and matching gym outfit. She gets lost easily and has no full-time occupation. Traffic jamming cell phone sold separately.
"East Bench Barbie"

Winter

I feel that I need to share some of the wonders of winter at my house. We have been watching the icicles build up for a while. I went out barefoot, to take some pictures of them. It is a good thing that I did because two hours later they fell. So sad...we were all hoping they would make a total ice column.

Go Jack Bauer. That is all for now.

Snowboarding

So today My boss let me off to go snowboarding. I was so excited and left work A.S.A.P. I did not want Coby to change his mind. So Jared, Paul, Amber, Nate and I went up to Sundance. When we got there we were too early to buy lift tickets, so we went to the bunny slope. (Apparently you can ski/snowboard for free there?) I had a few quick lessons on stopping and turning which never really took root. And off the the ski lifts we went. The picture below here is that of a snowboarder.

Did I mention that it is a picture of a good snowboarder? Well that does not resemble me at all. The next to are classic examples of what I did the Majority of the day.

Needless to say I eventually started sledding down the hill. Now that, I can do! I have had much practice on Heber's Hill and The Gum Hill.

If you don't know how to ski/snowboard here's a hint of two things you can do.
1. Take lessons. If that is too expensive see #2.
2. Stay on the bunny slopes......THEY ARE FREE and you can learn there. Usually there are instructors helping someone else....FREE tips!

Bottom line...I had lots of fun and I think I prefer the regular old skiing.

P.S. My butt hurts and I have bruises...those pictures won't be posted due to graphic content.
